Reliable and cost effective electricity is available throughout Dawson County from the power suppliers listed above. Each supplier has assigned service territory within the county. Power suppliers in Georgia provide service from a jointly owned transmission system which helps keep electric costs low. Electric service is available to meet any size load requirements. In Georgia, loads which have a connected load of 900 kW or more at initial full load operation may choose their power supplier regardless of in whose territory they locate.

Windstream is a full service communications company able to meet the needs of both residential and business customers in Dawson County. Alltel is located in the Dawson 400 Center at Ga. 400.
